Oracy across the curriculum
For last two years we have been working with Voice 21 (funded by North of Tyne Combined Authority) to prioritise and improve our use of oracy skills across the curriculum.
This Oracy@ summarises our approach to oracy:
Our English leads have been provided with training, by Voice 21, to implement a framework for oracy, with applicability across the curriculum.
The framework has four key elements:
- Physical
- Linguistic
- Cognitive
- Social and Emotional
Child friendly versions of the framework are used in both KS1 and KS2
